Donna Knopf, Chef and Owner of Vegetas
LLC, has provided the Phoenix metro area
with outstanding vegetarian Southwestern
specialties since 1993. The idea behind
Vegetas is that people should be able to eat
healthy food without being deprived of
taste. Thus, Donna created a line of
flavorful vegetarian products, making every
day a celebration of vegetables.
When Vegetas was established, there was a staff
of one, 1200 square feet of space, and
tamales and meatless sausages were the only
products sold. Today, the staff of one is
now a staff of twelve, 1200 square feet of
space has grown to 4400 square feet, and the
original two products have multiplied to 56.
Fresh salsas and dips evolved to complement Vegetas tamales. Unique, healthier tortilla
chips were created to complement the Vegetas
dips and salsas, along with three fruit dips
to add excitement to fresh fruits! |
